Product Manager - IoT
Job Description
Product Manager, IoT will be responsible for defining product strategies, requirements, and features for the IoT, Telematics, and Remote Asset Monitoring solution. The Product Manager will work closely with product development and customer implementation teams to deliver the software in alignment with IoT product vision and strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Envision of how Industrial IoT, Telematics, and Remote Asset Monitoring can be used to deliver connected service solutions for manufacturers of durables goods.
- Develop and execute overall IoT strategy, and define the connected service experience roadmap
- Help implement the enabling IoT technology platform and assist with the monetization opportunities.
- Lead the efforts to create and evolve the IoT product vision, Prototypes, Demos, and SaaS solutions
- Collaborate with other Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) product managers, UX/UI, product engineering, testing, and validation.
- Plan product sprints, write user stories, and test product features to ensure timely feature delivery against program milestones.
- Develop partnerships with IoT hardware, connectivity, gateway, and platform vendors to deliver an integrated solution to the customers.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, the market, and the user experience.
- Identify, document, and communicate IoT product features and functionality.
- Develop release plans and feature prioritization in collaboration with the development team.
- Conduct regular product review meetings with representatives from management, marketing, sales, and service.
- Gather requirements, monitor trends, and analyze competitive activity in the market
- Evangelize the IoT and Remote Asset Monitoring solutions in the market
- Involve customers and users early and continuously during the product lifecycle
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies in the IoT, SaaS, and mobile app space
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or information technologies
- 5+ years experience as product manager for software in web, mobile, cloud, and IoT technology platforms.
- 5+ years experience coordinating with SaaS development teams to ensure product delivery as per the plans
- 5+ years experience in Agile software development methodology (Scrum, SAFe ) and practices for sprint planning, writing user stories, and product validation
- Extensive experience collaborating with UX teams and customers to create wireframes, mockups, and conceptual designs
- 2+ Knowledge and Experience in IIoT, remote asset monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Field Service, Warranty, and Service Parts management domains
- Excellent communication skills to document and share product requirements with various stakeholders.

As the Product Marketing Manager for Mize, you are the link between our Marketing team and Product Management team. Success in this role is based on your ability to develop clear, concise, and compelling product positioning and messaging that drives new sales opportunities and overall customer retention. As the Mize Product Marketing subject-matter-expert, you will develop a deep understanding of how our customers use our products and continue to provide messaging that fuels the customer journey. Critical thinking and analytical skills are required to understand market data, competitive comparisons, and SaaS based technology.
Job Responsibilities-
Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills, from writing collateral and web copy to presentations that deliver compelling, impact based powerful messages that resonate with durable goods manufacturers and their value chain.

Knowledge of the Service Lifecycle and an aptitude to become a subject matter expert in our product solutions and modules.

Proven ability to write creative, concise, strategically correct, and persuasive marketing collateral that describes the impact our customers obtain when using a Mize solution. These could include, video story boards, PowerPoint presentations, data sheets, white papers, blog posts, articles, eBooks, etc.

Demonstrated presentation skills with the ability in adapting an overall marketing message to diverse groups of employees, prospects, and customers, highlighting key customer pain points and the ability to solve those across key Mize segments.

Must be a self-learner and knowledgeable in SaaS technology and the software industry.

Update and develop requirements, buyer personas, and segmentation details/definitions necessary for product and content strategy, sales enablement, and field marketing execution.

Present to customers, prospects, analysts, journalists, and other market influencers at webinars and live events. Submit speaking opportunity abstracts and present at leading industry events, customer briefings, press and media.

Understand the key customer use cases, and map product capabilities to address those use cases.

Develop and document return on Investment (ROI) models, business case for digital transformation, and value proposition to customers.

Interface with marketing content creators, Business Development, Sales, and Pre-Sales teams to create consistent messaging across all channels.

Booth setup and travel to trade shows is required.
Desired Skills and Experience

Must have 3+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, technical marketing, product management, or technical pre-sales experience in a B2B selling software to large durable manufacturers.

Previous experience in any aspect of Service Life Cycle Management Software is highly preferred, i.e., Warranty Management Software, Field Service Management Software, Service Parts Management Software, or manufacturing ERP or MRP software applications.

Must be a team player that is goal-oriented and confident with a desire to deliver high performance with a sense of ownership.

Must be comfortable using and/or learning tools to track and measure success such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc. without the availability of formal training.

Experience with illustration and layout tools such as Adobe Creative Suite is a preferred.

Diligent at measuring and communicating progress across departments.

Must be self-starter, critical thinker, problem-solver, and highly analytical.
